Tea Tree Mask Review

Tea tree was something that I discovered a bit over a year ago now. I actually stumbled onto it when my nose piercing was flaring up with a little bubble and I was freaking out. Multiple people on the internet who had been in seemingly similar situations swore by it. But this particular review is on a Tea Tree based mask that I have actually just finished up tonight. I purchased it at The Body Shop in Manhattan, but you can snag it at Ulta, too.

First of all, I'm going to provide you with some information about my skin. Parts of my face tend to lean on the oily side (nose, partial forehead), and the rest of my face can be categorized somewhere between dry - normal. I am prone to blackheads, whiteheads, acne, some redness (seasonal), and discoloration as well as dark circles. Over the years, my skin has become significantly more sensitive on top of everything. My face can react almost immediately if it does not approve of a particular ingredient in a product, which makes it all the more nerve-wrecking to try something new.

Now on to the mask!!!

I probably ended up using the jar atleast twice a month, and purchased it about eight or nine months ago. It lasts, which is very important to me. When I purchase any sort of beauty related item, I want it to provide me with a significant amount of use and positive effects. The mask provides a tingly sensation almost immediately. I would typically leave it on for 10 minutes, but sometimes forget I had it on my face if I was glued to Netflix resulting in an hour long mask session. Whether it was ten minutes, or an hour, I didn't really feel as though there was any difference from the duration of time it was on my face. When I would wash it off, my skin felt very clean, soft, and refreshed. If I was having a breakout of some sort, or my skin was red it seemed as though it was calm it down. It would not completely rid my face of imperfections, but I did see a reduction in redness for example. The following day is when I'd notice a size reduction in acne, not huge, but it WAS there. So I WAS seeing results. Overall, I think that this is a great product. I would buy it again. I was happy with how it made my skin feel, and did see positive results for my sensitive skin.
